Law firms are under constant attack from cyber criminals which is not surprising as they process and store highly confidential and personal information with a high ransom value – the results of an attack can be catastrophic.

Here’s how we are helping Barnsley solicitors Heseltine, Bray and Welsh to protect themselves from this ever-present threat.

“We rely on Conformedia 100% to ensure we are secure and have all the necessary updates in place. They deal with everything and we always receive fantastic service from them.

During the recent move we simply walked into the new office space and all the IT was up and running and ready for us to start work from our new desks. It was so easy, no hassle and no disruption to the working day.

The support we receive is really good. Whatever query we have, there is always someone at the end of the phone to help us. They’re a great team who explain things clearly. We really enjoy working with them all and know we are in safe hands.”

When Barnsley solicitors, Newman and Bond, were seeking to outsource their IT support it was important to them that their IT partner would provide a complete IT package, that they would understand their particular IT challenges and be a good fit with their team.

Conformedia was recommended by an existing client, and we now provide Newman & Bond with fully integrated, secure IT infrastructure. Daily help is provided from our helpdesk and their managed printer service is integrated into their managed service provision.

“Conformedia provides much more than our previous IT partner, providing support for the whole business. Previously if we had any IT problems we would have had to pay for extra help or make do.

We go to Conformedia for all our IT issues, large or small. Even if something may seem quite trivial it can have a big impact on us, but the team are always there to help out which is exactly what we need. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and they are really pleasant to work with."

There’s a bit of a misconception that Mac’s don’t get malware, but they do, and the latest malware is more sinister than it appears. ThiefQuest, previously known as EvilQuest, not only threatens ransomware but also has spyware capabilities which sticks around even after a computer reboot and could pose a second stage attack.

As always, we recommend that you always use legitimate software and have the latest synchronised firewall and antivirus protection, with a robust process to constantly patch and update. Ensure all devices, office, mobile and remote working are covered.
